Website management
Someone watching the site so you don't have to
Website management is a standing arrangement for the work a site needs after launch — hosting, software updates, backups, security patching, and monitoring that runs around the clock. The site keeps loading fast, the software stays current, and if anything goes sideways at 2am, we're the ones who find out first.
The site is doing its job. Keeping it that way is a separate job.
A live website is a working piece of equipment: certificates expire, software releases security patches, forms quietly stop delivering, a plugin update breaks a layout.
None of it is hard — it just has to actually happen, on a schedule, forever. That's the part we take off your plate, so the only time you think about the website is when you want something changed.
What's included in a management plan
Fast, managed hosting
Your site runs on a global edge network — copies served from data centers near your visitors — with SSL (the padlock that encrypts traffic) issued and renewed automatically.
Updates and patches
Framework, plugin, and dependency updates applied on a regular cycle, tested on a staging copy of the site first so nothing visible breaks in public.
Backups you can restore
Automatic off-site backups of files and database, kept on a rolling schedule and periodically test-restored — because a backup nobody has ever restored is a guess, not a safety net.
Round-the-clock monitoring
Automated checks watch uptime (whether the site answers at all), page speed, SSL expiry, and form delivery. When something trips, the alert comes to us first.
Security hardening
Firewall and bot filtering, spam protection on forms, locked-down admin access, and a written plan for what happens if a site is ever compromised.
Content edits and small changes
New team member, updated hours, a fresh case study, a page that needs a section added — send it over and we make the change rather than you scheduling a project.
How management works
- 1
Takeover
We inventory what exists — hosting, domain, DNS, email, plugins, integrations — and get proper access in accounts that stay in your name.
- 2
Baseline
We patch anything overdue, turn on backups and monitoring, tune performance, and note what we'd improve next so nothing sits on an unwritten list.
- 3
Ongoing rhythm
Updates on a set cycle, edits as you send them, and a plain-English report covering uptime, speed, and what changed since last time.
- 4
When something breaks
We're alerted before most visitors notice, roll back or fix, and tell you afterward what happened and what we changed to keep it from repeating.
The same way we run every engagement — how we work →
A good fit if
- Nobody in-house owns the website day to day
- The site is business-critical and can't be down
- You'd rather send an email than learn a CMS
- Hosting, domain, and email sit in separate accounts
- You want one number to call when something looks wrong
